I'm now doing what I should have done at the start. And that is, massive customer research, including surveys and prototyping and actually talking to customers before coding anything.

I'm now doing what I should have done at the start. And that is, massive customer research, including surveys and prototyping and actually talking to customers before coding anything.

I'm coding the prototypes in simple html files because using Figma had too much inertia to be productive, so I'm just writing html/css because it's frictionless for me.

And by prototype I mean actually designing the next iteration of the template, showing variations on live Netlify sites, and showing potential customers those live templates before I take it any further.

I'm also probably going to start a new project for the front-end Next.js app and rearchitect it with a new design in mind.

Of course, this will take time, and simply building ontop of what already exists would be faster.

But I can just copy and paste code and redesign things in a better way.
